St. Paul's Seminary students have once again demonstrated academic excellence by securing top positions in the annual Uganda Catholic University Philosophy Competition. Thomas Aquinas Nabunya (2nd year) won first place, while James Kiggundu (2nd year) and Mark Sentamu (3rd year) placed second and third respectively.

The competition, which attracts participants from seminaries and universities across East Africa, focused on the theme "Philosophy and African Identity in the 21st Century." Participants were required to present original research papers and defend their positions before a panel of distinguished philosophers.

"This achievement reflects the quality of philosophical education at our seminary," said Fr. Dr. Joseph Mukasa, Professor of Dogmatic Theology. "Philosophy forms the foundation for theological studies, and we are proud of our students' commitment to intellectual excellence."

The winning seminarians received scholarships and will represent Uganda at the Pan-African Philosophy Students' Conference to be held in Nairobi later this year.
