Pastoral Formation

Practical training in ministry skills, pastoral care, and Church leadership, preparing priests who can shepherd Gods people with competence and compassion.

Pastoral Formation

Pastoral formation bridges the gap between academic learning and practical ministry, ensuring that future priests are well-prepared for the diverse demands of pastoral work in contemporary society.

Our pastoral program includes supervised field experiences in parishes, hospitals, schools, and other Church institutions. Seminarians learn preaching, counseling, administration of sacraments, and parish management under experienced supervision.

We provide training in youth ministry, adult education, family counseling, and social ministry. Seminarians learn to address contemporary challenges such as poverty, family breakdown, substance abuse, and secularization with pastoral wisdom.

The program includes formation in liturgical celebration, homiletics, and catechetics. Seminarians practice preaching regularly and receive feedback to develop their communication skills.

Special attention is given to understanding the cultural and social context of ministry in Uganda and East Africa. Seminarians learn to appreciate local customs while maintaining fidelity to Catholic teaching and universal Church practices.
